Jan 2, 2012 · Point of all of this is that those of you who do have a yellowish screen should try changing the wallpaper to a more blue one. Not sure if that will work on an iPhone 4S that does already have a yellowish screen, but it made my non-yellowish screen look even better.

Aug 8, 2011 · My original iPhone 4 was bluish tint but recently the replacement is yellowish tint due the original one was a hardware defect. I spoke to Apple store that I don’t want the yellowish tint screen because it appears bit more dark & dingy and NOT as bright as bluish tint screen.

The yellow appears as the glue warms up when it has not been set for long. This happens when the phone is made and sod quickly. Basically the glue under the screen dries but it warms and turns yellow.

Jan 17, 2023 · Here's what Apple does and doesn't recommend but note that the "front and back glass surfaces have an oleophobic coating". So be careful when cleaning on and around those surfaces to avoid damaging the coating. I'm guessing you will need something fairly strong and possibly abrasive (eg car scratch remover cream) to get rid of the discoloration.
