You’ll learn to fly Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters in varied and spectacular airspace. Utah is renowned for the best snow on earth, and these are the formidable mountains that are blanketed by it for a majority of the year.

Your professional pilot will show you main components of the helicopter and walk you through some basic pre-flight training. Then you will take off into the big blue! During your flight, you will experience some helicopter maneuvers and receive coaching from your personal CFI.

Utah Helicopter’s career pilot program is designed for those who wish to become working commercial helicopter pilots. Students in the career pilot program will receive all training necessary to find jobs as commercial pilots or flight instructors in today’s demanding and booming aviation industry.

A Private Pilot Certificate will qualify you to fly a helicopter on your own and carry passengers, but not for hire or compensation. You will learn flight maneuvers, safety, air traffic patterns, principles of cross-country navigation and also develop the skills to fly at night and in the mountains.
