May 29, 2008 · - A helicopter practicing approaches crashed on the roof of a hospital Thursday, catching fire moments after the two people on board escaped with minor injuries, a fire official said. The crash around 11 a.m. at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital sent thick, black smoke over downtown and forced the evacuation of patients.

Jun 30, 2008 · So we have 9 fatal helicopter crashes this year with 4 souls per helicopter (patient, pilot, medic and nurse) that is 36 dead if all 4 die in each crash. Now add 4 more because one crash was a double helicopter crash and that's 40 people.

Feb 9, 2008 · At approximately 10:30 p.m. the responding Air Ambulance crashed a short distance from the helicopter pad near Snake Lake (Temagami). There were four occupants on board the helicopter at the time of the crash and all have been transported to Temiskaming Hospital. Two of the occupants of the helicopter are in serious condition.
