On the plus side I tried, greatsword with giants hunt, brick hammer with lions claw, and Great Stars with eruption. So comparing all three, eruption definitely does the most damage. I did kill it with eruption in the end.

Feb 12, 2023 · Honestly, Eruption path is either good or meh for pvp. It can be good if you’re able to keep your opponent in one place, but other than that, it’s just a downgrade. It pairs pretty well with elastic though, and I’ve seen some amazing builds using Eruption

May 1, 2022 · Lava ticks from Eruption seem to do 1 stance damage, although I seem to always be 1 stance short when adding up the stance damage. Godrick the Grafted (105): 5 downswings (10) + 3 upswings (14) + 12 lava ticks = 104 stance damage Albinauric (30): 1 downswing + 1 upswing + 5 lava ticks = 29 stance damage I also tested Eruption without lava.
