Jan 6, 2010 · History of Yokota Imperial Japanese Army opened Yokota AB in March 1940. It was then called Tama Army Airfield, the name used from April 1940 to Sept. 4 , 1945 because of its location in the Tama Prefecture (County).

Mar 10, 2025 · The 459th Airlift Squadron, 374th Medical Group and Naval Hospital Yokosuka collaborated for casualty evacuation training at Yokota Air Base, Feb. 20. The 459th AS has a working agreement with the 374th MDG to provide emergency airlift support via UH-1N Huey during certain medical situations.
