Dodgeball classes at the YMCA help develop teamwork, problem-solving, sportsmanship, and strategic thinking in a fun and active environment. Leagues run seasonally. Programs split each session between skill development and instructional gameplay. Players receive a team shirt.

The Y maintains a generous financial assistance program for youth, adults, and families who demonstrate financial need. Funding for this program is provided by fundraising events at the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA and community-wide donors.
