Jan 1, 2023 · I've had the same vtec vfr 800 as you and rode it daily and currently have the mt-09 tracer, so the sports touring version. I prefer the tracer. The mt-09 is a better motor, so those posters who are weighing in telling you that the V4 is better, clearly haven't ridden the Mt before.

Aug 20, 2021 · With this criteria I landed on the VFR800: great sound and engine, dirt cheap to insure and purchase, Honda build quality, great tourer. My biggest reservations are the weight and if it’s actually a “fun” bike to ride in the twisties like the grom.

I live close to a race track - so I take it there to have spirited rides — and it performs every bit as good as most sport bikes. However / it also has a more relaxed seating position for long distance touring.
