Quan Chi (Chinese: 拳痴) is a character in the Mortal Kombat series. A demon of the Netherrealm known for his dark magic and necromancy, Quan Chi is a powerful enemy to both Earthrealm and Outworld, and a major ally to the Fallen Elder God Shinnok.

Quan Chi summons the revenant versions of Stryker, Sindel, and Kabal to attack Raiden and Fujin, they are able to fend off their attackers. Eventually, Shinnok arrives outside of Earthrealm's Jinsei chamber, intending to corrupt its life-force, to become the ruler of Earthrealm.

Quan Chi was the lone playable character from the three-dimensional series of games included in the immediate roster of the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot. In the game's story mode, Quan Chi is present at the Shaolin Tournament from the outset, with the resurrected Scorpion serving as his personal assassin.

Quan Chi combines both cunning and brute force in his never-ending plots to overtake not only Earthrealm, but all of reality. He is an opportunist and will ally himself with anyone who can help him further his own goals. He is notable in particular for his ruthlessness and pragmatism.

Their souls are then collected by Quan Chi and reanimated as undead revenants. Under the sorcerer's spell, he serves the fallen Elder God Shinnok and aids Quan Chi in his quest to free his master and take over the Earthrealm.

Quan Chi is a powerful demon sorcerer from the Never Never Land, and he is a recurring villain from the Mortal Kombat series of fighting games. He is known for being a member of the Brotherhood of Shadow, the ancient demonic cult who worshipped his master Lord Shinnok.

Quan Chi brokers a deal with Shang Tsung for his assistance in reviving Onaga's army in exchange for a supply of souls that would preserve Shang Tsung's youth, then eliminate evil Outworld emperor Shao Kahn and the perennial Mortal Kombat champion Liu Kang.

However Kabal and the others souls, including Kung Lao, and Sindel, were claimed by Quan Chi and were forced to serve the evil sorcerer forever. Kabal was among the revenants who attacked and were defeated by Raiden in the Netherrealm.

After Kabal wins, Shao Kahn orders Quan Chi to seal the portal to Earthrealm that Mileena came through in, but Kabal escapes before the portal closes. Quan Chi later attempts to create a Soulnado.
