Niseko is located on Japan’s northern island prefecture of Hokkaido, 2 hours drive away from Sapporo – the largest city in Hokkaido. The area is also known for having excellent produce and agriculture, as well as having some of the cleanest rivers in all of Japan.

Niseko is situated on the southwestern coast of Hokkaido in an ideal location for powder snow. The west to east flow of the wind carries cold air from the Siberian tundra over the relatively warm sea of Japan, sucking up moisture and forming dense clouds along the way.
