Morticia Addams (née Frump) is a fictional character from the Addams Family multimedia franchise created by American Charles Addams in 1933. She plays the role of the family's reserved matriarch.

Gomez Addams is an extremely wealthy man and is able to indulge his wife Morticia's every desire, whether it's cultivation of poisonous plants or a candlelit dinner in a graveyard. People visiting the Addams Family just don't seem to appreciate the 7-foot-tall butler named Lurch or the helping hand (which is just a disembodied hand named Thing).

The wealthy, enthusiastic Gomez Addams is madly in love with his wife, Morticia. Along with their daughter Wednesday, their son Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and Grandmama, they live at 0001 Cemetery Lane in an ornate, gloomy, Second Empire style mansion.

She is also the sister of the daisy-headed Ophelia Frump and the daughter of Granny Frump and Grandpa Frump. In the original television series, Morticia was portrayed by Carolyn Jones. Morticia was a rebellious child.
