Mar 11, 2024 · Researching the MiG-23MLA, there are two production numbers associated with this designation: the original 23-12a (the 23-12 being the MiG-23ML) and the 23-16. I cannot find with any certainty what the 23-16 was, but a forum suggested that was the designation for older MiG-23M and MiG23ML aircraft brought up to the MiG-23MLA standard.

Mar 5, 2024 · Mig-23ML and Mig-23MLA are, as far as I am aware. Identical. There is no difference that I could see. (I looked thoroughly as its the basis of my argument to get the Mig-23ML moved from 11.0 to 11.3 in SB)

Jun 24, 2024 · With the MiG-23 nerf, I’m thinking that the MiG-21bis might be a better option now for 11.0 now. I don’t have it researched so I’m wondering if it would be worth going for, or should I just stick with the MiG-23M? Curious about GRB too, there’s no markers so maybe the R23Ts +IRST would be better at catching people off guard in that game mode?
