Dec 14, 2015 · How can I insert text boxes into a PDF so others can fill it in when it is sent to them?

I can insert a text box onto the pdf and write inside the text box but also want to be able to put a box around certain items on the pdf to draw attention to them. i.e. put a box around the Invoice # on an invoice I have in pdf form.

That is not the same as a free form text box with a border. I need to create a new text box with a border with text that automatically wraps to the next line according to the size of the box. I have tried in "Tools-Content-Edit Text and Object -Add oe Edit Text Box", and I have tried "Comment- Drawing Markups" but neither seems to give the option of creating a text box in a document and then typing in the text which I can highlight and edit for size, font, colour etc..

If you are not referring to a text field but to a text box you have selected with the "Edit Text & Images" tool you cannot do this with Adobe Acrobat. A workaround would be to add a white rectangle image to your PDF, using "Add Image" tool, resize it to adjust the size of the text box, select this image with the "Edit Text & Images" tool, right click it …
