HMCS Cormorant was a diving support vessel that served in the Canadian Forces. She was equipped with two SDL-1 submersibles. The ship was the first in the Canadian Forces to have women assigned to their crew. Initially constructed as the trawler Aspa Quarto in 1965, the ship was acquired by the Canadian Forces in 1975 and renamed Cormorant.

Built in 1965, HMCS Cormorant was formerly the Italian-flag stern trawler Aspa Quarto. She was purchased for Maritime Command in July 1975 and converted, principally, at Davie Shipbuilding, Lauzon, Que., for her new purpose.

HMCS Cormorant may refer to two ships that served in the Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian Forces: HMCS Cormorant (PCS 781), a Bird-class patrol vessel launched in 1956 and paid off in 1963. HMCS Cormorant (ASL 20), a diving support vessel launched in 1965 as the trawler Aspa Quarto. Acquired by Canada in 1975, the ship served until 1997.

Between 23 Aug and 05 Oct 1989, Cormorant, along with CFAV Quest, was deployed to Canada's eastern High Arctic waters, conducting defence research in Baffin Bay, Lancaster Sound and Davis Strait. In the course of the operation, dubbed NORPLOY 89, she visited Canada's northernmost Inuit community, Grise Fjord, on Ellesmere Island.

HMCS Cormorant (PCS 781) was a Bird-class patrol vessel of the Royal Canadian Navy. The patrol vessel entered service in 1956 and was paid off in 1963. Held in reserve, Cormorant was discarded in the 1970s.

CORMORANT was later seen laid up in Shelburne, NS, in 2000 and early 2001, and during the summer of 2002 she was towed up the LaHave River in Nova Scotia and was tied up just astern of ex-HMCS FRASER in Bridgewater. She is not part of the FRASER museum project, and is reportedly only there for storage.
