Oct 2, 2014 · If a thief wants it they will get it but it will deter most opportunist idiots. I had a friend get his tree cut down and lock on stand stolen. I guess the thieves had a chainsaw but no bolt cutters. He took the steps to it with him each time he left. Anymore I just buy those cheap 50-60 dollar ladder stands and pray for the best.
