But that would not make them guilty of selling "fake ipods"...they would be guilty of using intellectual property created for/by Apple to make their own product for commercial gain. A crime just the same, but different.

May 26, 2007 · Don't know the laws in the country where you purchased the "fake" iPod, but if you have a receipt that identifies the retailer where you purchased it then you may have a case. Check with the appropriate authorities in the country you purchased it. Obviously, since you purchased a fake it was not from an Apple authorized retailer.

May 8, 2021 · These days, even the serial number on the box and the case is verified even for the fake ones as some companies are copying serials from the Original ones and printing the same on the whole batch. if apple confirms they are fake take your receipt and go to the shop where you bought them for, make a noise when people are around and ask for a refund.
