Feb 28, 2018 · I paid 2,30 for a bread and 26,50 for a chicken. My current house is worth 130000. This gives 130000/(2,30+26,50)=4514 as index value. Convert to a period when bread cost 0,02 and chicken 0,14. That gives 4514 x (0,02+0,14)=722 for my house in old(ish) values. Of course, this is just a comparative estimate, not an exact system.
