DCI-P3 and srgb are just the colours or the total colour space that the display can produce. Between the 2 DCI-P3 has a larger colour space than srgb. Most content online is srgb, you would only need DCI-P3 for HDR and colour grading work/content creation. In HDR there'll be a minor difference where the DCI-P3 display is more saturated.

Nov 19, 2023 · The P3 version will be equivalent to 95% of an AdobeRGB Color Space - u can display lot more (intense) colors. sRGB is a very old (but standart) format now, i am not shure if they actually ship an sRGB Monitor. My guess - the one with sRGB will have 85% P3 so they call it sRGB capable and the expensive one will be 100% of P3.

Rec. 2020 is the HDR colorspace for the future (maybe). DCI-P3 is what is used as the minimum for theatre projectors/film. Rec709 is i believe very similar to sRGB. if you have an adobe rgb 100% coverage, you'll inherently have sRGB. DCI/DisplayP3 will cover like 80ish% (depends on what colors overlap) of adobe RGB.

Aug 4, 2021 · This is completely false. Many sRGB modes on wide gamut modes often under saturate in my experience. Many monitors don’t have usable sRGB modes and often have bad dE’s. I can only think of a small number of gaming type displays that have a good sRGB mode.
