Jul 7, 2009 · 1. Will a V12 engine physically fit in the engine bay of a 1997 5 series BMW? 2. Will a manuel gearbox fit onto the 12 cylinder bell housing stud pattern ( flywheel problem a obvious issue)? 3. Plan to also turbo charge the V12 engine, any ideas?

Jun 7, 2011 · if you're referring to the BMW V12, you're adding a ton of weight, a ton of expense for an engine with about equivalent power, more complexity, older technology and less aftermarket. Correct besides for the weight, it's only about 50lbs heavier than e39 engines.
