
What does "Overlap" percentage exactly mean in ReCap Pro?
Jun 20, 2018 · A higher percentage of overlap ensures that features that are shadowed or occluded behind objects in one scan (such as behind a column) are visible in one of the other scans. I don't get why high overlap percentage can be related to the ability to see behind the occluding objects.

Larger values are better. Low balance usually happens when scans are too far apart to share high-quality surfaces in each direction.
