A.P. Indy (March 31, 1989 – February 21, 2020) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won the Belmont Stakes and Breeders' Cup Classic on his way to American Horse of the Year honors in 1992. His time in the Belmont Stakes tied Easy Goer for the second-fastest running in the history of the race, behind his damsire Secretariat .

Mar 8, 2025 · A.P. Indy is part of the only three-generation sequence of Belmont Stakes winners in American racing history. He is by 1977 winner Seattle Slew and is the sire of 2007 winner Rags to Riches. A.P. Indy got his 100 th stakes winner on March 31, 2007, when his son A. P. Arrow won the Skip Away Handicap (USA-G3) at Gulfstream Park.

Trained by Hall of Famer Neil Drysdale, A.P. Indy broke his maiden in his second career start at Santa Anita. He added an allowance win at Bay Meadows that year and won the Grade 1 Hollywood Futurity to conclude his juvenile season with a record of 3-0-0 from four starts and earnings of $357,255.
