While it wasn’t quite as potent as the more exotic 426 Hemi V8, it produced only slightly less power for significantly less money. The 440 Mopar is a bored Chrysler 413 V8, with an increased bore of 4.320.”

Dec 12, 2012 · The car was delivered to Glean Chrysler-Plymouth in Pawling, New York (Dutchess County) in April 1969. The 440 'cuda was 'not' a special order car for a customer. It was ordered by Glean Chrysler-Plymouth as part of their 'select order' shipment.

Aug 23, 2023 · Chrysler produced the 440 ci (7.2 L) V8 engine from ‘65 - ‘78. The last raised block Mopar produced, the engine had a light-wall construction with a cast iron block and heads and a bore of 4.32 in. At its peak, the engine produced 390 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque, competing with the 426 Hemi.
