May 2, 2013 · A couple weeks ago, I bought a non-running 300ZX twin turbo that I intended to put a 2JZ into. Since I bought it, I've replaced a few cracked interior panels, I've fixed the glovebox, I've bought an R154 transmission, and I've taken out a lot of things in the engine compartment, and now I'm almost ready to lift out the engine.

May 18, 2020 · A 2JZ-GTE makes similar numbers to the VG. Both engines are capable of great numbers. Granted, the VG30DETT can be a bitch to work on, but do it right, and you don't have to work on it.

Aug 5, 2003 · By my, admittedly, unclear memory, the 2JZ-GTE would have to sit BELOW existing cross members in order to fit under that hood. Nice idea, and maybe it can be done. But, someone very experienced in motor swaps is going to have to do a ton of analysis to determine the feasibility of what you are proposing.
