An Overview of RFID Based Library Management System
Working & Block Diagrams of RFID Based Library Management System. This system would comprise of three sections – The main database section, the individual rack section and the entry section.
RFID based Library Management system (LMS) would allow fast transaction flow for the library and will prove immediate and long term benefits to library in traceability and securityThe proposed system is based on UHF RFID readers, supported with antennas at gate and transaction
RFID & Bluetooth based systems are going to revolutionize the entire library automation systems. In this project we are going to develop library automation system, which will track the books, whether they are issued or they are in library, so that library user will get the instant information.
The proposed system is based on the RFID technology where RFID tags are embedded on the books and on the user cards and RFID readers are used to read these tags for proper, efficient and theft controlled operation of libraries.
To address this problem, a proposed smart library management system utilizing RFID tags and readers can be implemented. The system can automatically scan the tags and display the book's name and author on an LCD display, eliminating the need for manual entry by library staff.
It will use the microcontroller and RFID and GSM to identify and manage the books efficiently. Every book will have a unique RFID tag and every student will be provided unique RFID card as ID card for library. When a student swipes his /her card before RFID reader it …
1) Thus we have designed a product called Library Card Scanner using RFID technology. 2)The RFID tag can be affixed to an object and used to 3) RFID offers advantages over manual systems or use of bar codes. The tag can be read if passed near a reader, even if it is covered by the object or not visible
RFID based library management system is made to automate this housekeeping information more quickly and efficiently. The great increase on RFID based implementations provide a great development on the speed of processing and give comfort to the people.
Figure 1: Block diagram of LMS Fig 1 shows block diagram of LMS. It consist of RFID tag, RFID reader, Arduino Microcntroller, GSM module as system requirement. Each Book is stick with RFID tag and Each student Identity card stick with RFID tag with a unique code. There is RFID reader to scan this unique code. To access the
