An 18-year-old student who attends William T. Dwyer High School was arrested after, police say, he intentionally set a student athlete's car on fire.

The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department said Thursday that it had made an arrest in connection with an arson.

According to an affidavit from Palm Beach Gardens Police , Drake Hansen, 18, torched the car because he felt the victim, Koden Brown, had disrespected him. Both Brown and Hansen attended Dwyer High School.

Some of the texts were sexually demeaning. Others suggested he kept tabs of the woman's online activity and referenced a domestic battery case from her past.

The investigation into who set a high school student's car on fire in his family's driveway is still underway.
