Per the 247Sports Composite rankings, LSU owns the No. 10 overall recruiting class for the 2025 cycle. After the early signing period, LSU sat No. 6 in the rankings and dropped to the 10th spot as teams like Michigan, Auburn, Florida and Texas A&M shifted ahead of them in the weeks following.

JaReylan McCoy is a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports. He is the #79 player in the 2026 class, the #6 defensive lineman and the #5 player in the state of Mississippi. McCoy currently attends Tupelo High School in Tupelo, Mississippi.
