S ir Keir Starmer KC is among the most successful British politicians of the past half-century. In just four years, Sir Keir took the Labour Party from its worst defeat since 1935 to a 411-seat landslide result that puts him above Clement Attlee and just below Sir Tony Blair in the pantheon of Labour prime ministers.

Sir Keir Starmer becomes the first sitting prime minister to take a public HIV test. Joined by Terrence Higgins Trust representatives, the PM took a rapid home test to raise awareness of National HIV Testing Week. The government has committed to ending new HIV cases in England by 2030, with a new HIV Action Plan to be published in summer 2025.

The prime minister took the test at 10 Downing Street alongside soul singer Beverley Knight, who is a strong advocate for HIV awareness.
