In what may be her final cheer season, Christina Ellis missed a landing and injured her knee on one of the sport’s biggest competitive stages — but she kept going, pushing through to finish the routine.

Dallas police confirmed there was no active shooter after an incident in Downtown Dallas near the Omni Hotel and Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Saturday afternoon.

The DPD did say that many people suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the mass exodus from the convention center. Though there was no active shooter, the loud bang from the poles falling down was convincing enough for cheerleaders and their families to run for their lives – causing a dangerous stampede.
