Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison did the unthinkable when he decided to trade Luka Doncic, the face of the franchise, to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis. Not only did Harrison ship away the most beloved basketball player in the city during his prime, but he did so without getting the return many believe Doncic warranted.

Former Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic was in the process of buying a new home in the Dallas area before the blockbuster trade that sent him to the Los Angeles Lakers. Lara Beth Seager, Doncic’s business manager,

It left him feeling zen, like "maybe life is going to be OK, these are just the waves of life."  Five minutes after it ended, he saw that, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Dallas Mavericks had traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
