Safari 4 moved the Reload button to the right side of the URL entry area. If you prefer a location on the left, this hint provides a workable alternative.

Interestingly, in Firefox 4, the Reload button doubles as a Stop button, which is why you don’t normally see the latter–until you enter Toolbar Layout mode.

A cache-overriding reload isn't a fix-all, but it is the first thing I tell anyone to try ("Hold Shift and click the Refresh button") when they're having a problem with a web site.

In Safari, hold the Option key and press the Reload button in the toolbar. Note that Command-Option-R might also work in Safari, but I cannot find any documentation to back that up.
