Over 300 Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) athletes will spend the next few days participating in competitions at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. From snowboarding to alpine skiing, athletes, their coaches and volunteers from all across the state will be at the resort until Feb.

Special Olympics Pennsylvania Winter Games athletes gave it one last push Thursday to take home a medal and celebrate their accomplishments.

Snowshoeing and alpine skiing were among the events Wednesday at the 46th annual Special Olympics Pennsylvania Winter Games at Seven Springs Mountain Resor. from February 11-13, 2024. Athletes, coaches and volunteers were at the the resort for three days of activities and competition that also inclues snowboarding.

More than 300 SOPA athletes, coaches and volunteers will gather at Seven Springs to participate in Alpine skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing.

The group will compete in 11 of the 16 Olympic-type sports offered including: athletics, basketball, bocce, bowling, flag football, golf, powerlifting, soccer, softball, swimming and volleyball.
