As the Florida Python Challenge gets closer, let's take a look at the largest Burmese pythons caught in Florida.

Snake hunters across Florida are participating in the annual “Python Challenge.” The goal of the 10-day event is to remove invasive Burmese pythons from the state. The Python Challenge began at midnight on Friday and will conclude on July 20.

Last year's challenge brought in more than 850 participants and resulted in the removal of nearly 200 pythons. This year, the top prize for the most pythons caught is $10,000.
