The BCCI announced India’s final 15-member squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy on Tuesday, with Jasprit Bumrah confirmed to miss the tournament due to injury. However, the squad does raise more questions than answers,

Harshit Rana has replaced Bumrah with the more experienced Mohammed Siraj relegated to the group of non-travelling reserves alongside young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal and all-rounder Shivam Dube

Following the Champions Trophy squad announcement, Indian supporters took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the selection choices.

Further, the BCCI replaced Yashasvi Jaiswal with Varun Chakravarthy in the Champions Trophy squad. The board has also named three non-traveling substitutes: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube.

While the latest scan, which Bumrah underwent in Bengaluru over the weekend, did not reveal anything untoward, it is learned he is not entirely ready to return to bowling yet

Star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been officially ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to a continuing back injury. Despite undergoing several scans and therapy sessions, Bumrah has struggled to recover to full fitness since the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney this year when he was injured.
