To find the square root of a number in Excel, we use ‘(1/2)’ as the exponent. So, if we have the number in cell ‘B2’ then, B2^(1/2) gives square root of a number available in cell B2.
Input your first value in the desired cell; for example, input "3" into "D1." Double-click an empty cell adjacent to the first. For this example, use "D2" as the cell to place the result.
