Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey suggested using more PET plastic bottles if needed to offset President Donald Trump’s 25 percent tariffs of U.S. aluminum imports.

The beverage giant may shift some product sold in aluminum cans to PET bottles if input costs rise in light of new tariffs, said CEO James Quincey.

CEOs of leading car companies in America, meanwhile, are concerned that Trump’s tariffs could upend an entire industry. “ What we’re seeing is a lot of cost, and a lot of chaos ,” said Jim Farley, CEO of Ford (F), while discussing the administration’s measures during an investment conference yesterday, as reported by CNBC.

Coca-Cola can also find domestic aluminum sources and increase the price for customers, CEO James Quincey said.

In December, the company abandoned its plastic reduction and reuse goals, announcing that it had revised its climate goals to focus more heavily on the use of recycled materials.
