Push-button start has been, until recently, considered a luxury feature. That’s no surprise — starting your car with the press of a button feels like the height of convenience.

Push-button start fobs reduce the chances of car accidents. If you use a keyless ignition system, your engine won't start until you put your foot on your brake and press the push button start key fob.

A: We currently have a vehicle with electronic rather than mechanical door locks and a fob-in-pocket push-button ignition on the dash. I don't care for either of these.
