A man was killed after an argument escalated into a shooting in southwest Houston in the intersection of Beechnut Street and Wilcrest Drive.

Houston police responded to a shooting call in the 9300 block of Woodfair Drive around 4 a.m. A man, believed to be in his 40s, was shot at least once and died at the scene. Police say it appears that the man was walking towards the parking lot when the shooter approached and fired multiple shots.
