While the Eastern Conference's playoff picture is mostly shaping into form, the standings resemble much more chaos in the wild, wild West. With two games remaining for all teams in the Western Conference, just one game separates the No. 4 seed Denver Nuggets from the No. 8 seed.

Behind 44 points from Anthony Edwards, the T-Wolves blew out the Memphis Grizzlies 141-125 on Thursday to move into a tie for sixth place in the West. There are now six teams — Timberwolves, Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors — within two games of each other in the standings.

Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves were hot, resulting in a still-tight Western Conference with two games to play. Edwards poured in 44 points Thursday night, including 18 in the third to spark a 52-point quarter by Minnesota against Memphis.
