If you aren't paying attention to the date on the calendar, Tiger Woods gave you hope that he would be playing in the 2025 Masters less than one month after undergoing surgery on his Achilles. In an April Fools' Day post on X, Woods joked that his doctors and trainers have him ready to play at Augusta next week.

Woods was referencing the injury he sustained earlier this year while training. On Tuesday, March 11, he revealed on Instagram that he’d had successful surgery to repair a tear in his Achilles. But really, a month wasn’t long enough to fully heal.

Tiger Woods has won the Masters five times in his career: 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2019. It's the second most tournament victories of all time behind Jack Nicklaus. Woods won the tournament as a 21-year-old, making him the youngest champion in the history of the tournament.
