Ganado quarterback Bryce Ullman and Stamford linebacker Kaston Vega were the players of the year on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association’s Class 2A all-state team. Ullman threw for 2,779 yards with 47 touchdowns and rushed for 300 yards and seven more touchdowns in leading Ganado to the Division I state championship.

Xavier Tiller is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He is the #124 player in the 2026 class, the #10 tight end and the #14 player in the state of Georgia. Tiller currently attends Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia.

The biggest surprises came on the defensive side of the football. Manchester (GA) star defensive tackle Justus Terry saw his ranking fall to No. 40 on the list. The surprising placement dropped his consensus average ranking, which takes 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN into account, to No. 13 in the country.
