Google has finally started rolling out Android's redesigned QR code scanner — a year after we first spotted it in a teardown.

MobileIron’s survey reflects the current QR code usage levels for payments in the U.S. and the U.K., with 27% having used QR codes to complete a transaction and 43% planning to soon.

But I can't say I've heard a Code 5 or a Code 6 come across the scanner. Birr wasn't willing to disclose what either of those codes referred to.
