The Ole Miss Rebels dropped a tough game to the nationally-ranked Oklahoma Sooners last Thursday, but they made up for that in a big way on Monday night as they took down the No. 8 Kentucky Wildcats 66-57 at the SJB Pavilion in Oxford.

Despite the significant jump, the Rebels are still ranked four spots behind the Kentucky Wildcats. Ole Miss defeated Kentucky by 14 last Tuesday at the Pavilion and then won on the road against LSU on Saturday. Kentucky, however, lost to the Rebels and followed it up with a home win against South Carolina, the only winless team in the SEC.

No. 8 Kentucky women’s basketball could not defend the defensive glass in its 66-57 loss to Ole Miss in Oxford on Monday night. The Rebels grabbed 27 offensive rebounds alone, while the Wildcats grabbed 33 boards overall.

The Ole Miss women recorded their second win in program history over a top 10 opponent on Monday night with a 66-57 win over No. 8 Kentucky.

Ole Miss women's basketball senior Madison Scott called Monday's game against No. 11 Kentucky a must-win. Scott did her part, scoring 22 points.
