New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson hopes to make his season debut this week, according to ESPN. Robinson, New York's starting center last season, underwent surgery on his left ankle in May following an injury he suffered during the 2024 postseason.

Shams Charania announced on ABC prior to the start of that Celtics-Knicks matchup that Mitchell Robinson is close to making his debut. When asked about Robinson's return, head coach Tom Thibodeau answered as only he could.

The New York Knicks have been without Mitchell Robinson since May, 2024. The 7-foot rim runner has been recovering from ankle surgery, and is yet to make his season debut.According to ESPN’s Shams Charania,
