Officials say the vehicle increased speeds in the upwards of 100 mph while passing other vehicles. The vehicle then exited the road northbound at the 111 mile marker. It collided with a light pole and caught on fire after flipping over and landing.

A skier died after colliding with a padded light pole at a Colorado resort, deputies said. The man was skiing down a trail “at a high speed” on March 11 when he veered and hit the pole after losing control, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook.
