The director of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, Kevin Young, has gone on personal leave, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday, citing an internal email it obtained.

Kevin Young, an acclaimed poet who was named director of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in 2021, is on personal leave for an “undetermined period,” according to an email obtained by The Post.

The Post reported that a museum spokesperson said Young would be out for an "undetermined period." Young has been director of the museum, one of many run by the Smithsonian Instit
