In a last-ditch effort to parlay the Aaron Rodgers trade into a playoff berth, the Jets sent a third-round pick to the Raiders for receiver Davante Adams.

Davante Adams was acquired by the Jets during the 2024 season to reunite with Aaron Rodgers. The two looked good together down the stretch, but it has been reported that Rodgers will not be with the Jets in 2025.

“With the Jets and QB Aaron Rodgers headed for a split, sources say, don’t be surprised if they move on from Davante Adams (with his huge cap number), too. They could reunite elsewhere,” Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

The Jets gave up a third round pick to the Raiders for Davante Adams only to have Aaron Rodgers do what he does and pull the rug out.

As rumors swirl about Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams' futures, the New York Jets' new regime reportedly has not spoken to Adams.

Davante Adams' NFL options: may return to Green Bay or join WR-needy teams like Chiefs or Bills. Deebo Samuel and Cooper Kupp could also be on the move.
