Excel opens the new Conditional Formatting pane to the right. This pane is much easier to work with than the desktop interface. The Apply to Range is set to the range selected in step 1 by default.
Here's how you can clear the formatting of your Excel table and revert it to the default style: Click on a cell in your formatted table. Select the Table Design tab that appears on the ribbon.
For example, Excel will automatically choose the date format for a cell that contains 11/11/19. You can set Excel to display dates in a variety of ways, no matter how you type in the data.
