Yoakam returned to Milwaukee Friday behind his first album with new songs in nine years, with the Mavericks and Noah Rinker opening.

Dwight Yoakam spent his formative years acting in theater productions and singing and playing guitar in local garage bands. In 1978, after a brief stint in Nashville, Yoakam relocated to Los Angeles.
