In the latest funding round, Palm Springs got $538,328 and the city of Coachella $200,000. That brings Palm Springs' total since 2019 to around $2.9 million, compared with $1.1 million for Coachella.

A state-level committee awarded the city of Coachella a $10 million grant with the intent of making the area “a more climate-resilient community,” a municipal spokesperson announced Thursday.
