Mexico's annual inflation rate slowed slightly more than expected in January, official data showed on Friday, after the central bank accelerated the pace of its interest rate cuts and signaled more monetary easing ahead.

The January jobs report revealed a drop in the unemployment rate to 4%, accompanied by payroll gains of 143,000. A Fed interest rate cut in March is now very unlikely.

The Czech Republic’s central bank cut its key interest rate again Thursday with inflation higher than expected after keeping the rate unchanged at its previous policy meeting in December. The cut, which had been predicted by analysts,
