The LWT has three highland cattle and I saw them fairly close up from one of the hides on my last visit in May 2019. Indeed, on 2nd March 2019 the LWT organised a "Meet the Cows" event and the publicity for the event included this: "Our adorable cows often stand out from the crowd of feathered animals on the reserve and although they aren’t wild, they play a crucial role in managing our wetlands."
